I travelled to Lyon, France during the summer.

Such a beautiful city, with the Rhone and Saone rivers flanking the centre of town photogenically, and the perfect size for a pedestrian.

Here are 2 sunset trips from the trip!

A memory of Paris

At the beginning of the month, I went to Paris to study at a language school to get my French a little less embarrassing as well as being an excuse to just be a tourist and experience the city of love and beauty.

I have literally NEVER filled my days so completely. French class in the morning, and afternoons I would wonder off into the city and go to a museum (MusĂ©e D’Orsay and the Pompidou were definitely my favourites!) and go to one of the big gardens and people watch, and then SHOP!

I was also lucky to have a weekend in which I could visit Monet’s Garden in Giverny. It was so unbelievably beautiful; the garden seemed to be mid-explosion, showing the beauty that Monet was being inspired by every morning he opened his shutters. So, in the true spirit of tourism, I took photos of everything I saw, and if it had been possible, I would have taken pictures of every flower in the garden.
